France Film and Cineplex Odeon co-developed plans for the construction of a new movie complex, game centre, boutiques and offices in Montreal’s Quartier Latin;
The project involved the creation of a 9,290 sq. m. building, with 20 screening rooms, as well as a 3-storey underground parking for 225 vehicles;
Demolition work of the pre-existing buildings began in October 1996. The 18.3 m tall building was constructed out of reinforced concrete while preserving the Théâtre Saint-Denis, which was supported by a piling system during the excavation.
